Understanding Your Options

They’re the same underlying audience data, organized by contact channel. Mailing lists carry postal addresses, email lists carry email addresses, and phone and telemarketing lists carry phone numbers. Many customers order more than one channel for the same target audience.

A compiled list is built from public records, directories, and other broad data sources. A response list is made up of people who have taken a specific action, subscribing, buying, or requesting information, so there is documented behavior associated with each record.

Yes. Audiences can be built using multiple targeting criteria such as demographic, geographic, and firmographic, depending on the list type.

No. You can order online or work directly with a data specialist by phone.
Common formats include CSV and Excel. If you need a different format for your CRM or mailing system, tell your specialist and we’ll work with it.
We accept CSV, Excel, TXT, and standard database exports. Beyond format, two things tell us almost everything: how many records are in your file, and which fields you already have. A file of business names with postal addresses behaves very differently from a list of email addresses alone, and knowing which you have lets us give you a realistic answer before you commit.
Data append orders are completed within 24 hours, except on Fridays, when they’re delivered by close of business the following Monday. List hygiene, NCOA processing, and CASS processing are typically 48 hours from receipt of your file. List orders are usually faster still. Larger or multi-service projects may take longer. Your specialist will confirm a timeline before work begins.

Pricing & Payment

List pricing is based on the number of records and how specific your targeting is. The more filters you apply, the more targeted the list becomes. Data services are generally priced based on record volume and the services requested. Ask your specialist for a quote based on your criteria and volume.
Data append is $60 per thousand records with a $500 minimum project charge. Because the minimum applies whether your file is small or large, sending everything in one project gets you far more value for the same spend than splitting it into several runs.

Data Quality & Accuracy

Data is regularly reviewed and refreshed using multiple verification sources. Update frequency varies by list type. Ask your specialist about the specific database you're interested in.

No marketing database can guarantee complete accuracy, because people move, change jobs, and change contact details constantly. That’s exactly why we offer hygiene, append, NCOA, and CASS services, to keep your file as current as possible over time.

Let us know within 30 days of delivery and send a report identifying the affected records. Verified invalid records will be replaced, or refunded where replacement isn’t practical.

Many projects land between 25% and 40%, and some perform considerably better. What moves that number most is the completeness of your input file. A file of business names with full postal addresses gives us a great deal to match against; a file of personal email addresses at consumer domains gives us very little, because those addresses aren’t tied to a company.

It’s usually a question of what’s being counted. A match is not the same as a usable, deliverable record. We quote the range we actually deliver, and we tell you what your file is likely to return before you pay for anything.

Data Services

It depends on your goal. If your data has errors or duplicates, start with list hygiene. If you’re missing fields like phone or email, look at data append. If you’re worried about outdated addresses, NCOA processing checks for moves. Most files benefit from more than one, ask a specialist for details.
List hygiene cleans and verifies data you already have. Data append adds missing information to an existing record. NCOA checks whether someone has moved and updates the address. CASS standardizes an address to USPS formatting and appends ZIP+4. DPV confirms a mailbox actually exists at that address. Many jobs use several together.
If you're claiming automation postage discounts, USPS requires both: CASS-certified processing for ZIP+4 and delivery-point accuracy, and Move Update compliance (typically met through NCOA processing) within 95 days of your mailing date.
For business files: email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses, social media details, and firmographic and technographic information such as SIC and NAICS codes, revenue, employee count, industry classification, and executive names and titles. For consumer files: demographic data. The most common request is business names and postal addresses in, email addresses and phone numbers out. See the Data Append page for details.
Yes, that’s a reverse append service. Send us an email address and we can append the full company name, postal address, and the first and last name of a top-level executive at that company. Reverse phone append works the same way.
Yes, that’s exactly what hygiene, append, NCOA, and CASS are for. You send us your existing file and we clean, complete, or standardize it.
Our goal is to identify bad or unreachable records while preserving legitimate contacts. Depending on the service, questionable records may be flagged or suppressed rather than deleted outright. Your specialist can explain how unmatched or questionable records will be handled before processing begins.
